The MTT-S International Microwave Symposium was held in Anaheim, California, during May 23-28.

It is an IEEE sponsored show annually held at different locations across US and allows a premier international conference for technologists involved in all aspects of microwave theory and practice to meet. The show heavily focuses on RF switch technology (and among many other RF applications) and is our most important trade show every year.

Together with our sister companies in Ceramic & Microwave Products (CMP), we have attended this show over several years and this year, as it was on our home base (80 miles south from our factory in Ventura, California), many of Dow-Key’s Sales and Engineering team members were able to attend the conference sessions and walked the show, in addition to networking with other companies.

We had a very successful week, where we met with many of our customers and conducted business on the spot. As the show is well attended with our representatives across US and internationally, we networked with many of them and other familiar faces within the RF & Microwave industries. This show provides a great atmosphere, for not only us but for everyone, to do business and mingle with similar minded people. And the results are always rewarding.

We presented many of our hot item products such as our commercial coaxial switches and lightweight waveguide switches to be used for testing applications, antenna signal switching, or for many other signal routing applications. We also displayed our ruggedized switches (SPDT, Transfer, and Waveguide) for space and military application where switches need to operate in severe environment. Furthermore, we show cased our SPDT miniature pin mount switch that goes up to 3 GHz and can be soldered to a PCB for RF switching applications.

Among our extensive matrix portfolio, we presented our larger matrix system that allows multiple inputs to be switched to multiple outputs – our popular solid state L-band 12×12 matrix. And our smallest and very popular 1 RU matrix populated with same or different switches (4104 model) was also show cased. In addition, we brought our PXI module solution that is for testing multiple RF signals at ease to the show. All these solutions can be found in our new product catalog and downloaded from our website.

The 2011 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium will be held in Baltimore, Maryland, in June and record high attendance is expected. We will be there together with our CMP group – once again with booths side-by-side to present a broad range of RF & Microwave products to current and prospect customers.  We look forward to seeing you in Baltimore.
